Snowy evenings can be so peaceful.

I've been experimenting lately with getting laser-cut art to look softer. This piece uses a lot of the techniques I've learned. What would normally be the foreground buildings are etched into clear acrylic. Snowflakes show through the buildings. The sky has depth, with stacked layers of various snow-like textures. I even had a bit of fun, making the normally ephemeral puffs of smoke out of bricks. Behind all those layers is a mirror, so ambient light gets reflected back through the snow, thus enhancing the sense of depth of the snowstorm.
