The Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest (GAAF) is a much-anticipated annual tradition in the Rogers Park neighborhood, showcasing the work of over 130 artists and more than two dozen music and dance performances, as well as live arts demonstrations, an activities area for kids, and open studios. Attendees can browse and buy artwork from over 130 local and visiting artists spanning all genres, from traditional woodworking and ceramics to digital drawing and avant-garde mixed media.
This will be my fourth year at this fair! It's always fun, and I love the neighborhood. I look forward to this event every year.
Chicago has a new organization for craft artists -- the Chicago Center for Craft and Its inaugural event will be the Chicago Craft Crawl!
Come out and discover artists working in all the different neighborhoods of Chicago and the regions of Lake Michigan! Find local metalsmiths, woodworkers, ceramicists, weavers, designers, printmakers, book artists, papermakers, and more during this open studio event.
How does the Chicago Craft Crawl work? Artists have self-selectively joined the Chicago Center of Craft and have agreed to be placed on a map where visitors can stop by and learn about their craft techniques, wares, and creative processes. The locations on the map may be artists’ studios or pop-up spaces featuring local gems such as a coffee shop, bakery, or other independently owned local business. This is a great way to discover Chicago, break through the winter doldrums, and support local artists and businesses. It is also a great way to discover a new hobby, as many of the artists on the list teach classes either in their studio or at venues across the city.
I'm very excited to announce that I've been accepted in the One of a Kind Holiday Show at the Merchandise Mart! I'll be in the emerging artist section.

6311 Arts is an exciting new artspace in a gorgeous old building. They have been busy transforming the building and are finally ready to open.
Which means ... a Grand Opening Party!!!
I'll be at the event, along with a bunch of my art. This should be fun.
