This bud vase is one of my Weather Vases series and continues my exploration of rainy days. It's made of mulberry wood and holds a glass tube that can hold water. The base is dyed blue and depicts a large puddle while the top is reminiscent of an umbrella. I used a propane torch to scorch parts of the wood, emphasizing the swirly wood grain.
