After building a Zen sand garden for Preston, (Sands of Time), I decided I really wanted one for myself, though I only have space for a smaller one. Thus Lil' Zen was born.

The main box is made from gorgeous elm wood, with supports of poplar wood. It's filled with a creamy white velvet sand. It has two kinds of lighting: warm white strips whose brightness can be changed, and individually-addressable colored strips that can run soothing lightshows. Now I need to find some rocks and other focus pieces for the garden.
