I made this fun piece for myself since I was eager to try out some black locust wood that I recently acquired. This wood glows greenish in UV light! The wood is still too wet to use for most pieces without warping and cracking. But cracks and warps are perfect for a scary plant monster totem. 😄

The arms are made from dried grevillea ivanhoe. I darkened much of the wood with my torch. The base is painted a solid black with india ink so that it's not very visible in the dark when the piece is lit with UV light.
