This little angel is made from gorgeous wood. Her dress is sycamore with a bit of burl, so the wood grain is really interesting. Her hair is made from claro walnut and it has some beautiful chatoyancy. Her head is made from red gum wood and her wings are maple. As with many of my artifacts, I used my torch to create darker accents. The hem of her dress is decorated with blue iridescent acrylic paint and her waist is painted with copper metallic acrylic. I'm really pleased with this piece.
