Sunrise on a cold winter day can set the streets ablaze.

This piece was created using layers of wood, acrylic sheet, and and mirror. The wood layers were worked with watercolors, gypsum paste, and a propane torch. The frame is poplar wood, dyed with aniline dyes and india ink, sealed with tung oil.
